If you are between the ages of 16 and 65 and plan on sport fishing in Nunavut you need to buy a Nunavut sport fishing license. "Sport fishing in the Nunavut Settlement Area may be subject to terms and conditions in accordance with the Nunavut Land Claims Agreement." Your tour operator should be aware of these access restrictions. If you're out fishing on your own, contact the Inuit Land Administration Office responsible for the region you intend to visit in advance of your trip.
Sport fishing is only allowed in national parks with a National Park Fishing Permit
